Photocast were asked to create a set of pictorial plaques to commemorate the Battle of the Coronel. The plaques were to be installed in Port Stanley and had to withstand the harsh conditions of the South Atlantic Ocean, it was decided that bronze and stone would be best way to have a lasting tribute.
Photocast used their ARTCAST process to create the images of Vice Admiral Graf von Spee and Rear Admiral Christopher Craddock together with a montage of the ships that took part in the battle.
The result is a stunning memorial, which will be unveiled by the decedents of both Craddock and von Spee on the 1st of November on the Islands.
